Lisa Donovan, Broker 
Lisa has a degree in Psychology specializing in Organizational Behaviour from the University of Saskatchewan. After graduating from U of S, Lisa enrolled in the Human Resource Management Program at the U of Ts, Woodsworth College. Lisa has been with GMS since 1994 specializing in Employee Benefit Consulting. She holds her Life, Accident & Sickness and Mutual funds licences in good standing. Lisa is a member of Advocis, an insurance and financial advisor association and is enrolled in the CFP program.
Ron Bromley, Broker
Ron has been in the insurance industry for over 25 years and has been with GMS for 25. He maintains his Life and Accident & Sickness licences in good standing. Ron has developed a niche for himself in the employee benefit field for new car dealers, logistics, and manufacturing firms.
Darren Lowe, B.A., Economics
Darren is a graduate from Wilfrid Laurier University and joined the GMS Insurance team shortly thereafter in August of 2000. After spending a few years learning the business as a service associate, he eventually transitioned into an advisor role in 2002 specializing in employee benefit programs and group pensions. Darren holds licences for Life, Accident & Sickness and Mutual Funds.
Jonathan Shantz, BSc.
After graduating from the University of Waterloo, Jonathan began his career at GMS Insurance in March of 2001. As an advisor, Jonathan is based in our Kitchener office servicing the Southwestern Ontario region specializing in employee benefits and group pensions. He holds licences for Life and Accident & Sickness and has completed the Canadian Securities Course and Professional Financial Planning courses.
Keith Topping
Keith joined GMS Insurance in April 2005 as a Senior Benefit Consultant. Keith has over 25 years of industry-related experience with two major insurance carriers. His expertise encompasses sales, underwriting (as National Director) and contracts. With GMS, Keith will be focused on the larger groups specializing in alternate funding such as ASO, Refund Accounting and Health Spending Accounts.
Heather Wild, G.B.A.
Heather is a fully life licensed advisor specializing in employee benefits and has been with GMS Insurance since March of 2004. She graduated in 2002 from the Sheridan Institute for Technology and Advanced Learning where she won awards for academics and professional promise in Human Resource Management. She holds the Group Benefits Associate (GBA) designation through the Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) program and is an active HRPAH member. Heather has experience in various HR roles and an extensive background in customer service. She is continuing her studies to achieve the full CEBS designation.
Jesse Boone
Jesse has over eight years of experience in the group insurance industry working for a major insurance carrier, servicing small to large group benefits plans. Jesse holds his Life and Accident & Sickness licences.
Christopher Bromley
Christopher Bromley is a life and group insurance broker and Financial Planner. Christopher graduated from St. Andrews College in 2004 and from Wilfrid Laurier University in the spring of 2008 with a degree in Communications. He then attended the Financial Service Practitioner course at Seneca College where he was awarded a Certificate of Achievement in the Fall of 2008 for “The President's Honours List for Highest Academic Standing.” He also completed the Advocis CFP course. He has a wealth of knowledge to help his clients create and meet their financial goals and security.

Karen Irvine, B.B.A, C.E.B.S.
Karen started her career working for a major insurance company based in Waterloo. In 1999 she came on board in the Mississauga office of GMS as an Account Manager for Ron Bromley’s clients and continues in that role today. Karen graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a business degree. She holds her Life and Accident & Sickness licences and has achieved the CEBS (Certified Employee Benefit Specialist) designation.
Susan Neuhof, B.A.
With a degree from the University of Western Ontario in Office Administration and Commerce, Susan is well equipped to keep us all in line! Susan has been with GMS Insurance since 1996 and has handled all tasks associated with running a business at one point or another. As the Managing Director, she handles the operational details for both the Mississauga and Kitchener offices. Susan holds her Life and Accident and Sickness licences and continues her studies in the CEBS program.
Leslie Hughes
Leslie has worked in the financial services industry for 20+ years. She joined the Kitchener GMS Insurance office in June of 2003. Leslie is the Account Manager for Jonathan Shantz's clients providing support for group insurance, life insurance, and money business. Leslie is also the Manager for the GMS Private Health Services (Cost Plus) program. She holds her Life and Accident and Sickness licence, Mutual Funds licence and has successfully completed Courses 2 & 3 through the Group Benefits' CEBS Program.
Sandy Grdovich
Sandy joined GMS Insurance in January 2007, filling the role of Account Manager to Lisa Donovan's clients. She comes to us with a background of over 20 years in employee benefits, specializing in client services and administration. Sandy plans to enroll for courses to achieve her Group Benefits Associate (G.B.A.) designation through the Certified Employee Benefit Specialist program.
Cathleen Linz
Operating in an appointment coordinator role, Cathleen is responsible for seeking out and booking all new business appointments for all our agents. She is also the friendly face that will greet you at the front desk should you visit us in our Mississauga location.
Solutions Partners
Technology Platforms Inc. 
Technology Platforms hosts GMS Insurance's IBM Netfinity Server with Citrix Metaframe application server and all corporate data. This server is managed by TPI with daily backups taken off-site along with regular Microsoft and Antivirus program updates. TPI also hosts GMS Insurance's email, website and alternate domain names. Remote and onsite support services are also provided on an as needed basis.
Read Consulting Services
Read Consulting Services (RCS) worked hand in hand with us to design the GMS website. This collaboration achieved the company’s goal of creating a simple and clean look that focuses on ease of navigation for the end user. RCS specializes in creating websites for companies that want to display a large amount of text; ensuring that the text looks pleasing to the internet viewer, and the pages are easily readable. |
